You Need To Be Hyped Up For Tournament of Power Ending!
Hey guys! What’s up? How are you all doing? I know that you all are pretty sad tonight as there is no new Dragon Ball Super episode. We seriously don’t have any information right now… but we have gotten something interesting for you. CRtot on reddit explained “Why you should be hyped for this ending!” in a pretty good way –
A lot of people are taking issue with the ending of Dragon Ball Super based on the spoilers.
They feel it’s too anti-climatic, but I am here to change perspective after reading a 4chan post. There IS something good that can come out of it. That’s the development of Jiren’s character and confronting the very basis of his ideology.
His entire reason for getting as strong as he did, was for the sole purpose of being able to stop any evil no matter what stands in his way. So what happens? He gets severely weakened from his battle with Goku, and finally he thinks “Power is the answer to everything, this only confirms it.” only for a beam to get blown through his back as he falls to the ground and ends up hearing a chuckle. “OHOHOHOHO”
This is going to be the most degrading experience Jiren will ever face. Frieza is not going to just “knock him out”. He’s going to TORTURE him, he’s going to make him suffer for humiliating him, and it’s very likely that even if time ran out, the Zeno’s will probably just decide to continue the match till one is remaining because “it’s exciting.”
Oh boy, Jiren is going to suffer like no other character has suffered before. His pride is going to be trampled on, and the very thing he stood for is going to be deemed worthless before Frieza. It’s true that Jiren has gained near-absolute power, and that Frieza is weaker than him. THAT’S what makes it humiliating.
Because Jiren found his answer to be power to solve all problems and defeat any and all evil. As long as he’s strong, he will be able to protect everyone he cares about. Yet here he is.. getting OHOHOHO’D by someone who is like an insect to him. As he gets tortured, it’s going to settle in, the fact that he’s going to lose and that his universe is screwed and there’s nothing he can do about it.
That despite becoming so strong, it didn’t matter in the end. If he didn’t try to take everyone on by himself, and if he tried to protect his teammates, he would’ve had a chance at victory. Jiren lost, not because someone was stronger than him, but because U7 worked together to beat a force much stronger than them.
They are literally showing him the solution to overcoming obstacles, regardless of how strong your foe is. This will fix the issue people had with Jiren, they complained about his character well, him losing to Frieza is going to be the biggest heartbreak he’ll ever experience. His entire purpose is going to get mocked by Frieza.
Twice has Jiren been humiliated by an evil villain who killed every person he cares about and Frieza is WAY more evil than that villain. Frieza doesn’t just kill people, he tries to hurt them where it hurts the most. He will laugh about how Jiren will lose everyone he cares about and how his ideology is trash. You know how Frieza is.
Him losing to someone WEAKER is what makes this so great since he’s been purely built up as a powerhouse and yet all that strength is now meaningless in front of Frieza. Even if Jiren cried, Frieza just finds it more entertaining. As for the people who are questioning how Frieza is able to win, it could be an extremely close battle with Jiren vs Goku using the last bit of his energy, it doesn’t have to be anti-climatic.
The big question is, how will Goku respond to seeing Jiren get tortured? Will he instant transmission in the ring at the risk of being erased, or will he just watch from above? This is probably the most interesting way Jiren could go down. Losing to someone weaker than him, if Goku just stomps him by being stronger, then it teaches Jiren nothing.
His character won’t change, all it does is reaffirm his belief that power is the only thing that matters. He’s going to drop his pride after this and become a whole different character, this might be the thing that leads him to the answer he was searching for when he said he was searching for something. I am hyped.
What do you think of this “hyped up” explanation for the ending of Dragon Ball Super? Well, we all for real know that Dragon Ball Super will inevitably end on March 25, 2018 for ever. Dragon Ball Super will end but not the franchise. We’re going to get a movie and I am DAMN sure that Goku and Vegeta will return… in some way back in 2019!
